As proof that time does indeed fly, this year marks the 10th anniversary of CBC Mortgage Agency (CBCMA). We know, we can hardly believe it ourselves!
Since our founding in 2013, we have become pioneers in providing down payment assistance (DPA) to homebuyers who are most in need and a trusted partner to mortgage lenders nationwide. At the heart of our success is the Chenoa Fund Program, which was launched the same year and has since extended DPA to more than 42,000 families across 49 states and territories.
We’re proud that three-quarters of our customers are first-time homebuyers and half are from minority communities. We believe it speaks volumes about our ability to help individuals achieve their homeownership dreams. So, to celebrate our 10th anniversary, we unveiled a dynamic new rebranding that reflects our evolving yet unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers to homeownership.
What Makes Us Different
The Chenoa Fund down payment assistance program is more than just a source of down payment assistance funds—it’s a catalyst for change in the realm of homeownership, particularly for underserved communities. With its unique Native American ownership, the Chenoa Fund and CBCMA have brought a fresh perspective to the housing finance industry that is deeply rooted in the values of community building and resilience.
What truly sets the Chenoa Fund DPA program apart, however, is that it caters to an incredibly diverse array of borrowers, many of whom may not have access to generational wealth or other traditional financial support. The Chenoa Fund DPA can be used by first-time and repeat homebuyers, minorities, and low-to-moderate income consumers in 49 states nationwide, and borrowers can receive assistance for FHA loans.
First-time homebuyers who use the Chenoa Fund DPA get far more than DPA, too. They also receive pre-purchase homebuyer education and post-purchase support through CBCMA, including 18 months of counseling from a HUD-approved agency, to ensure their homeownership journey lasts.
Our New Look
Our rebranding initiative is not just an aesthetic change. It represents CBCMA’s continuing evolution and commitment to the mission of making homeownership accessible for all. It’s also a renewed pledge towards advancing similar housing programs that make homeownership more affordable. In fact, our new “housekey” logo perfectly encapsulates this pledge as it represents our relentless efforts to break down barriers to homeownership.
Our new branding marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Chenoa Fund DPA story as well. In fact, CBCMA just completed a significant organizational restructuring, with women now making up 70% of the company’s management team. This shift illustrates how we embrace inclusiveness within the company and the importance of diversity in leadership roles.
In essence, the revitalized brand is much more than a look. It’s our promise to support economic stability for homebuying families and their communities as well as enhance how we do things both inside and outside the company.
