About Us
CBC Mortgage Agency (CBCMA) was formed in 2013 by the Cedar Band Corporation, a tribally owned enterprise, wholly owned by the Cedar Band of Paiutes, with a goal to diversify the tribes business interest. Cedar Band Corporation operates 9 subsidiaries both on and off the reservation to promote economic self-sufficiency.
Through our Chenoa Fund program, CBCMA offers down payment assistance to credit worthy, low and moderate income individuals. Our programs are offered to all credit worthy individuals nationwide, excluding New York state. CBCMA partners with quality mortgage lenders on a correspondent basis.
CBCMA is dedicated to increasing homeownership in diverse communities. To date, we have assisted over 25,000 borrowers with their down payment, of which 55% are minority and 75% are first time homebuyers. To assist all our borrowers successfully transition to homeownership, we provide 18 months of post purchase counseling from a HUD-approved counseling agency.
