Chenoa Fund receives National support from three Native American organizations denouncing Mortgagee Letter 19-06:
- National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC). Mission is to effectively and efficiently promote and support American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians in their self-determined goals to provide culturally relevant and quality affordable housing for native people.
- National Congress American Indians (NCAI). Established in 1944 in response to the termination and assimilation policies the US government forced upon tribal governments in contradiction of their treaty rights and status as sovereign nations. To this day, protecting these inherent and legal rights remains the primary focus of NCAI.
- Allied Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI). ATNI is dedicated to promoting tribal self-determination & Sovereignty.
